Editor's Rating Notes: To be able to receive a scholarship from Google and to visit the Youtube Headquarters while in college is phenomenal. Do not look left or right, jump straight in and give it a shot.

Google offers a financial award of 750 USD towards tuition and education related expenses, and will be invited to visit the YouTube headquarters in San Bruno, California, USA. Every year Google offers the Venkat Memorial Scholarship to 6 students from India pursuing Computer Science or a closely related field. Venkat Panchapakesan Memorial Scholarship
At silicone valley, you can:
Duration:- one week of which 3 days of scheduled event.
1. Visit Youtube headquarters 2. Visit Google office and interact with members of community 3. Visit Stanford Campus 4. Android park visit
Selected students will receive a financial award of 750 USD towards tuition and education related expenses, and will be invited to visit the YouTube headquarters in San Bruno, California, USA. Selected students will also have an opportunity to submit a proposal, and potentially receive a funding of up to 225 USD to spend on growing computer science in the local community.
Be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in a college/university in India, for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic year
Be currently pursuing a degree in computer science, computer engineering or a closely related technical field
To complete the application, you will require the following
General information about you.
1. The first question is the Essay question 1.
Take a look at the guidance email in our wiki page on this topic if you need clarifications. Make sure the word limit is within or maximum 300 words.
2. The second question is Essay question 2.
Narrate a personal adversity that you have faced in life and the steps on how you overcame the same. Refer the guidance email on this topic in our wiki. Again, keep an eye on the world limit. Keep it under or maximum 250 words.
3. The third question is the video.
The time limit of the video is 1 minute. You need to upload the video on youtube and provide the link in the application form. If you want your video to be viewed by only the people with the link, make the video unlisted. How to make your video unlisted? (https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/157177?hl=en)
You will need to upload a .pdf of your resume to Google drive. Please name the file with your full name and make sure you share it with "anyone with the link". For instructions on how to upload and share your files to "anyone with the link" look at the links below:
Please ask your recommenders to email the letters (pdf format) to email@example.com. They should list your full name in the subject line in the following format "Reco letter for <your full name>". There are 2 LoRs needed for the application from your professors, teachers, HoDs or mentors.

- Assist those around them to excel in the field of computer science and technology

- Leverage the field of computer science to transform systems (from building the next game changing technology, to even helping families be happy, etc.)
- Have faced adversity and overcome it to continue learning and growing in the field of computer science
